A talented yet troubled athlete named OJ and the University of Southern California go together like alcohol, tobacco, and firearms. So when freshman phenom OJ Mayo committed to USC, we had to be there to follow the most interesting subplot of the 2006-2007 season. We’ll give updates from time to time, how OJ is doing on the court, how he’s doing off of it, how the Trojans are doing with him, what celebrities are at the game on their cell phones, etc…. Frankly we’re not sure what to expect. He could be the next Allen Iverson, a kid with an even more troubled past who kept his nose clean for two years and carried Georgetown, or he could be the next Quintin Daily. Either alternative is exciting.
